The film follows David Bowie (Johnny Flynn) as he creates his alter ego Ziggy Stardust and showcases the turning point of his career. The film takes place in 1971, as 24-year old David Bowie embarks on a world tour with Mercury Records. Bowie travels with his publicist (Marc Maron) and realizes the world is not ready for him.
David Bowie has been a cultural icon for years, and it’s about time someone makes a film about his life. The film recently premiered virtually at the Tribecca Film Festival.
“Stardust” is set to be released in theatres and on VOD on November 25th.
