Wonder Woman 1984 changes course…yet again

In a recent article with The Hollywood Reporter, Pamela McClintock and Arron Couch described the latest updates with the release of Wonder Woman 1984.


With the second wave of COVID-19, the studio has given up on having any kind of traditional theatrical release for the film. The film will show in any cinemas that remain open on December 25th as well as stream on HBO Max in the U.S for one month beginning on Christmas Day. For international markets, the film will be available starting December 16th.

Patty Jenkins, the director of the film, stated that she hopes the movie’s release will bring in some joy for fans during the holiday season. They hope to provide comfort for cinemas who are open by releasing their film on Christmas Day and to provide comfort to those cautious of COVID by giving them the option to stream from home.
